Bombay Sapphire is a brand of gin that is distilled by the Bombay Spirits Company, a subsidiary company of Bacardi, at Laverstoke Mill in the village of Laverstoke in the English county of Hampshire.The brand was first launched in 1986 by English wine-merchant IDV.
In the spirited world of gin, standing out is no small feat. Bombay Sapphire, a brand synonymous with creativity and sophistication were seeking to elevate each campaigns experience. Four distinctive digital campaigns, one per quarter, to shake up their online presence over a year. The campaigns – "Bombay Sapphire Stir Creativity Competition" "Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Experience" "Bombay Sapphire Stir Creativity Cocktail Competition" and "Bombay Sapphire Stir Creativity Cocktail Quiz Activation" – each demanded a unique digital concoction to captivate their diverse audience.
Each campaign faced it’s own challenge whether it was mobile only for the activations or a static website to collect competition entries, each had to be keep that high quality and creativity level Bombay Sapphire holds. We aimed to address this by strategising and workshopping the UI/UX from the ground up with the intention of complimenting each of the campaigns in their own unique way. In each campaign, our goal was to balance brand objectives with user experience, ensuring that each element aligned seamlessly with Bombay Sapphire's overarching marketing strategy.

We focused on engaging consumer participation. Our strategy revolved around a user-friendly interface that facilitated easy entry submissions and social sharing. By streamlining the entry process and incorporating social media integrations, we aimed to maximise conversions.
This campaign demanded an emphasis on luxury and exclusivity. Our approach was to create an immersive online experience that mirrored the sophistication of Bombay Sapphire's Premier Cru activation. We achieved this through a combination of elegant design elements and interactive storytelling, allowing users to explore the product's unique attributes and book seats to the unique event.
For this campaign, we aimed to celebrate the creativity and skill of bartenders. Our solution was a platform that not only allowed submission of cocktail recipes but also fostered a community space. This included features for voting, commenting, and sharing content in the unique creative Bombay way. The site honed in on a celebration of the bartending talent in Australia with a focus on the sustainability of Bombay Sapphire and its traceable botanicals.
The quiz required a blend of interactivity and education. Our approach was to design a fun, engaging quiz that also imparted knowledge about Bombay Sapphire's range. We focused on intuitive user flow and engaging content to keep users intrigued while subtly educating them about the brand and its products.
